Have you ever tried to write all of your life's experiences in a few paragraphs and convey the depth and breadth of each of them in an hour? That is what writing home feels like. But I'll do my best by sharing an experience or two that shaped my life the most this week.
Saturday: I learned a lot from Wendy, a member who recently moved into the ward from out of state. (I think I wrote about her last week...?) She immediately volunteered to come out with us anytime we need. Saturday our appointment fell through so we followed up with a couple of people we'd briefly met before. One of them being Hurbert. He said it was a bad time and continued to talk with us for about 40 minutes on his porch. With his bleak outlook on life right now and in the midst of grieving his wife's death it was difficult to bring him hope and the light of the Gospel into his life, though we did our best. 35 minutes into and many attempts later to bring the Spirit, Sister Peatross brought up the Book of Mormon and we both testified but he would hear none of it. Our sweet sister, Wendy, later told us she had apparently "Had enough! He wasn't listening to you!"
She'd had enough! In her words and literally shaking her finger in his face, "I challenge you! I challenge you to pick up the Book of Mormon any time you have down time and read it because I know you can't work 24/7. I know it will bring you peace and answers to your questions....I know it will bring you the peace that you are seeking right now!" I stood there in awe of this member acting on what she was truly feeling inside. Wendy's example will forever be imprinted in my mind. She acts on the feelings of her heart and holds nothing back! She was disappointed when he didn't take it seriously and testified of what she knows is true. Heavenly Father is so mindful of me and knows the specific experiences I need that day to grow in my faith and hope, and obviously being bold!
The Lord is good.

P.S. I am soooo excited about Elizabetha!!!! Please give my love to Clarissa and Josh and Elizabetha--a hug and kiss just from me!
P.P.S. With next week being a holiday and me possibly being transfered emailing might be crazy. Don't know if it will be on Monday or another day.
P.P.S. Will do better writing next week!
