Thanks so much for the pictures, they all came through. They made me super happy! What else would make me soo happy is James, Catherine, Dallin, Clarissa, and Emily or other family writing me :) Sadly, Dallin's letter never made it to me :( Oh, I got gma's card, tell her thanks and "I love you" for me, please. The Temple was so wonderful this last Thursday. The Graves, the ward mission leader and his wife, gave us a ride and went through with us. Only I and one other sister in our zone had seen the new video so it was a really neet experience for everyone. President and Sister Holm drove up to go through with us. It's one of the smallest temples in the church but I am so glad they have it.
Conference was so good and yesterday's lessons at church were such a great follow-up, on missionary work. Sis. Derrick and I got to go into primary and tell them a little bit about being a missionary. In senior primary we did a Q&A--I wish we could have done that the whole time. The kids had a lot of really good questions. And they are such better missionaries than adults. We were talking about how they can share the gospel and one girl told us that she walks around the track during recess while reading a book and maybe she could bring her scriptures to read and she said she's inviting her friend to church next week. No big deal. Kids around here really have to know their religion and beliefs, it's really cool to experience and be around them.
Last night we met Siera, who doesn't believe in Christ, but who is letting us come back next weekend! I'm excited. I can actually use more of what I learned in the MTC. They really need a cultural center for the south at the MTC; it's not the same as teaching other English-speaking people. At all. Alma 45:1 To summarize one of my personal studies, the Lord delivered the Nephites, once again. The interesting thing is what they did immediately following the victory: "Therefore they gave thanks unto the Lord their God; yea, they did fast much and pray much, and they did worship God with exceedingly great joy." They didn't go out and party or brag about their accomplishments. They did immediatly "fast much and pray much". Their praying and fasting wasn't just for strength to win but it was also for gratitude for the protection and mercy of God.
God bless y'all!
